The Summit at Snoqualmie will open its 2012/2013 ski season Saturday, ski area officials just announced. This latest winter storm has delivered 14 inches of snow in the last 24 hours, all that was needed to get the Summit West base area ready to operate.
“We’ve seen good snow accumulation on our higher slopes over the last two weeks and just needed a serious storm to deliver the goods at our base area elevation,” Summit marketing director Guy Lawrence said in prepared statement.
